Life has been a whorlwind this spring with lots of travel and new projects to design. Most excitingly, I travelled to London, Milan, and Brazil. I saw a lot of beautiful design all around but I especially love the new designs by my friend, Paola Lenti, and her sister Anna Lenti. They create the most beautiful outdoor furniture and rugs (amongst other things) with colors, and color combinations, that are truly inspired. I am so excited to team up with Paola Lenti on a couple of projects in New York, Conneticut and Brazil. And, since we were both in New York for the ICFF, we just had a working meeting at DDC in New York. We reviewed floor plans, color schemes, and discussed the importance of flexibility in design- because sometimes you want to host 6 people for dinner and sometimes 30. And, the best design solutions should accommodate that. When asked about where her inspiration for the new colors came from, Paola said she woke up one winter day, looked out at the sea in all it’s cold, winter beauty, and thought of the mint green, the pale pink, and the soft beiges of the latest collection. Inspiration is a wonderful mystery! It is always such a pleasure to work with Paola so I thought I’d share the magic with you. Thank you DDC for hosting and helping us! Here are some pictures from our meeting and other Paola Lenti images from Milan.
This incredible umbrella provides great shelter and design aesthetic at the same time. The new mint green looks fresh when paired with dark gray. Super chic! I saw this at the Milan Furniture Fair. I can’t wait to use it myself.
Spring is here and I cant wait to use my new Paola Lenti outdoor furniture!
